Guatemala is called a countryof the eternal spring. It is located in Central America, and its name is derived from the Aztec language Nahuatl: “Quauhtlemallan”, which means “place where many trees”. Its history dates back to 4000 years ago, when it was the Mayan civilization, which left a rich legacy. Prehistoric Maya temples and cities we can still explore and feel the rich traditions of the local tribes, which to this day are passed from generation to generation.

Guatemala is bordered to the west and north of Mexico, to the east of Belize, the Gulf of Honduras (Caribbean Sea), and Honduras, and the south-east of El Salvador and the Pacific Ocean to the south.
The area of 108.889 km square and more than 15 million people, making Guatemala Central American country with the largest population. 23 Mayan languages, Garifuna and most of the Indian in the society makes it a country with a very rich culture and living traditions.
